questions, entering open-ends directly into the data file on a
Verbatim Answer Sheet (VBA), substituting previous responses

In addition to interviewing,
the system affords the user the ability
to automate quota control, sample selection and management ,
crosstabbing, annotated marginals, open-end coding and other
ancillary functions. These functions are totally integrated to minimize
both user intervention and required level of user
Utilizing current technology, TMR has developed an innovative interviewing enhancement called Computer Assisted Dialing. This system assists the telephone interviewers, but continues to allow them to control the dialing function. Computer Assisted Dialing eliminates many of the clerical tasks that would otherwise have to be handled by the interviewers, and which may prove to be detrimental to productivity.
Computer Assisted Dialing controls time zone selections and sample quotas (if the quota information is in the sample record and a quota is filled, numbers in that group will not be presented to the interviewers); it automatically records each dialing disposition and provides up-to-the minute sample disposition reports; provides for sample information to be put directly into the final data file without manual coding or data entry; although interviewers still control the dialing function (no computer generated pre-recorded messages are used), productivity is substantially increased.
